AREAS OF STUDY

LEVELS OF SINGERS IN STUDIO:​

  • BEGINNER: Children, teen, and adult finding your voice for the first time

​

  • MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT: preparing NYSSMA solos, auditioning for the school and community musical, preparing for college auditions for both musical theatre and classical vocal programs

​

  • PRE-PROFESSIONAL: getting ready for "the next step" in a singing career, preparing for concerts, auditions and competitions

​

  • PROFESSIONAL: keeping your voice in performance shape; getting your voice back in shape; finding more ease and comfort in your singing and performing; check-ins between performances

​

STYLES OF SINGING:​

​

  • CHORAL: ease, comfort and strength within your vocal part 

​

  • CLASSICAL: opera, oratorio, and art song

​

  • CONTEMPORARY COMMERCIAL: including Music Theatre, pop, rock and folk

SPECIALTY AREAS:​

  • AUDITION PREPARATION: school and community theatre productions

​

  • VOCAL DYSFUNCTION/HEALTH: in collaboration with your ENT and voice therapist, help with dealing with vocal health issues: ie: pre-nodule thickening, nodules, polyps, and cysts, recovery from vocal pathologies and illnesses

​

  • THE AGING VOICE: pre- and post- menopausal conditions and symptoms;  addressing the vocal symptoms of the aging process in both men and women.
